Margaret Beasley
4th Degree Black Belt
Mrs. Beasley started karate in 1976 under Mr. Paul McCullough as
a member of UNT’s Karate Club in Denton, Tx. She began training
under Mr. Beasley in 1977 and received her Black Belt in 1984. She
is a member of the Texas Martial Arts Hall of Fame, a 7 time Golden
Greek Award winner and has been rated #1 in the state in fighting
8 times. In 2005 she received her first World Title
from North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) in Senior Women's Sparring. She placed first in 6 of 8 National tournaments including the US Open in Florida and Battle of Atlanta. She teaches the karate classes at the YMCA at White Rock
and Dunford Community Center. Mrs. Beasley is a graduate of North
Texas State University (UNT) and has a Master's Degree in Education.
She is currently employed as an Elementary School Librarian in Mesquite. |
