Lucy Nix   

2 nd Degree Black Belt

Lucy Nix started her martial arts training under Mr. Bob Beasley at the SE YMCA, Dallas , TX in 1995. She received her Black Belt in 2001. In 2002 she was awarded Rookie of the Year for the Northern Region of the AOK. Mrs. Nix teaches at the Beasley Karate classes held at the YMCA at White Rock and American Martial Arts Academy .

Mrs. Nix holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and another in Veterinary Science from Texas A&M University . She graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from TAMU in 1978. She currently practices companion animal medicine and surgery in Dallas , TX . Mrs. Nix also enjoys wilderness horseback trail riding, camping, and canoeing. She is a member of the National Association of Trail Riders Conference and competed in four of their Regional competitive trail rides in 2004.
