Amelia Potasznik

Ms. Potasznik started karate in 1994 under Jason Williams of Kaufman Karate. After Williams stopped teaching in 1997, Potasznik began training under Bob Beasley as a brown belt. She received her first degree black belt in 1999 as a freshman in high school and won the Jr. Female Golden Greek Award in 2001, the same year she received her second degree black belt. She graduated from the Talented and Gifted Magnet in 2003 and entered the honors program at the University of Texas at Dallas after receiving a scholarship. Her freshman year she won her second Golden Greek Award, this time as an adult competitor. She is now a Junior Literature major minoring in History and Government and Politics with plans to attend law school after she graduates in 2006.
